Parent Settings

Tap the settings icon on the home screen and complete the parent check. The settings are grouped into the sections below.

Your Profile

  • Change Name: changes the name Kidhoot displays and may speak during celebrations.
  • Change Age: updates the profile age. It does not lock or pace activities.
  • Change Avatar: chooses the character shown beside the child's name.
  • Language: changes the language used by the app menus and messages.

Sound

  • Voice Engine: choose Auto or the optional ElevenLabs service. Auto is recommended and needs no setup.
  • Multilingual exercises: when enabled, Kidhoot asks which learning language to use before supported activities.
  • Language buttons: choose which exercise languages are offered. At least one must remain selected.

The device's own volume controls determine how loud Kidhoot sounds. See Voice Options for setup and troubleshooting.

More

  • Redo Introduction: repeats the first-time setup. Use it when you want to review or change the main profile choices.

Privacy & Data

  • Share additional diagnostics: optionally sends more information when something goes wrong. It is off by default.
  • Download my data: saves a copy of locally stored profile, settings, and progress data.
  • Delete all my data: permanently removes the profile, progress, badges, settings, downloaded voices, and linked backup data. You must type the confirmation word before deletion.
  • Protect account: links a parent or guardian email so progress can be backed up and restored.

Read Safety & Privacy before enabling diagnostics or sharing an exported file.

Parent Zone

  • View Progress & Stats: opens the Parent Dashboard with completed activities, recent use, accuracy, and detailed results.
