Child Safety

Learning without ads, public sharing, or manipulative design.

Last updated: July 2026

Our Commitment

Kidhoot is designed primarily for children ages 2–6 with a parent or caregiver nearby. The profile age does not lock activities or control their pace.

Kidhoot has no advertising, in-app purchases, public profiles, messaging, open Web browsing, microphone recording, location access, or user-created content.

Content & Voice

Learning activities, pictures, words, and main audio are prepared and reviewed before release. Children cannot browse an open content catalogue from inside Kidhoot.

Kidhoot speaks instructions but does not listen to the child. A short phrase or child's name may be sent to an online voice service only when spoken audio is needed. Parents can keep the recommended Auto voice or connect their own ElevenLabs account.

No microphone: Kidhoot does not listen to, record, or upload a child's voice.

Parent Controls

Settings and progress information are behind a simple parent check. Parents manage the child profile, languages, voice, diagnostics, backup, export, deletion, and progress views.

Parents can reset one completed activity by pressing and holding its card. This removes that activity’s progress and badges without resetting the rest of the app.

Privacy Safeguards

Normal learning does not require an email. Backup and additional diagnostics are optional and controlled by a parent. Kidhoot does not sell family data or use behavioural advertising.

Parents can download or permanently delete data in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for details about voice services, diagnostics, and service providers.

Where Kidhoot Is Available

Kidhoot is currently available on Android and the Web. Core Android learning works offline. The Web version saves resources after they are opened and has some limits, including email backup from an iPhone or iPad Home Screen installation.

A native iOS app is not currently offered.
